SBSS- SVLiquid Particle Counter for high viscous Pharmaceutical Applications

PAMAS SBSS SV liquid particle counter manufactured for pharmaceutical application are made in Germany, rugged, Gold Standard in Liquid Particle Counting and provide 24,000 particles/ml concentration and 1 to 400 microns measurement capability.

Viscous, volatile and bubble generating liquids: SBSS-SVLiquid Particle Counter is designed to work with a wide range of samples, including very high viscous, volatile and bubble generating liquids. This capability allows flexible use in such applications and excellent solution.

SBSS SV –‘SV’ stands for small volume, there is a receptacle in the centre of the platform, which holds the vials.

The outer dia. of this receptacle would be 30 mm and the height of the beaker/vial is max. 100 mm only. If you need to use bigger beaker/vials, then the receptacle can be removed and used as Standard SBSS.

Sample volume: On the SBSS SV liquid particle counter with the standard sampling tube the minimum pre-run volume is 0.3 ml and three times 0.2 ml for the particle measurement.

For small measurements it would be the best to keep the 1 ml syringe on the system all the time With the bag sampling tube we could leave the 10 ml syringe on the unit. With the bag sampling, the pre-run vol. will be 2 ml and 3 times 1 ml for the particle measurement.

Holders can be provided for small cuvettes or ampules. PAMAS will need to know the sizes (diameter) of the containers in question? We can offer then either one holder that fits to all types of cuvettes or even different holders.

Pharmaceutical production is a critical industry. Where purity controls are of essential importance, particle counters play a vital role. Whether in the production of infusion solutions, protein solutions or eye drops, or in ensuring the component purity of medical devices - a reliable particle counter is indispensable.

Diverse Applications and Challenges

When installing liquid particle counters in the pharmaceutical industry, a lot of criteria need to be adhered to:

  • Compliance with pharmacopoeia regulations: Regulations such as USP <788>, USP <787>, USP <789>, Ph. Eur. 2.9.19 etc. demand precise monitoring and documentation of particle number and size in various substances.
  • Ensuring medication purity: A central requirement in your industry is ensuring the purity of all medications, to guarantee their effectiveness and safety for patients.
  • Avoidance of infections and inflammations through µm particles: Even the smallest particles can pose serious health risks, so it is crucial to monitor and minimise their presence.
  • Avoidance of time-consuming microscopic particle measurement: Particularly with volatile and viscous samples, particle counters provide significant time savings over traditional microscopic measurement methods.

PAMAS liquid particle counter are validated according to the strict requirements of USP <1788>. This ensures that they meet the high standards of the pharmaceutical industry and provide traceable, accurate, reliable measurements.

Yes, the software of our liquid particle counter is compliant with the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 with regard to data integrity. This ensures the reliability and traceability of the recorded measurement data.

Yes, we place great emphasis on user-friendly and intuitive operating software. This way, you can use the liquid particle counter quickly and efficiently, allowing you to focus on your core work.

PAMAS liquid particle counters are known for their durability and low maintenance requirements. Thanks to their robust construction and high-quality materials, our devices offer a long service life, thus minimizing the total operating costs.

Our offerings go beyond just providing liquid particle counters. Our liquid particle counters are designed to meet the diverse and demanding requirements of the industry:

  • Solutions for smallest sample volumes: In accordance with the requirements of USP <787>, we offer devices that provide reliable measurement results even with very small sample volumes. This enables us to provide precise solutions for a variety of requirements.
  • Viscous & volatile liquids: Our devices are designed to work with a wide range of samples, including viscous and volatile liquids. This capability allows flexible use in various application areas.
  • Variable calibration ranges: Our liquid particle counters offer variable calibration ranges from a maximum of 1-400 µm. This means that the sensitivity of the device matches your specific needs.
  • Sensors for high particle concentrations: With a maximum of 120,000 particles per millilitre, our liquid particle counter are also suitable for samples with high particle concentrations.

By combining these features and services, PAMAS particle particle measuring systems are more than just measuring devices - they are an integral part of your quality control processes and contribute to maintaining the highest standards in your production.
